CHRE’s mission is to protect the public by:
- helping regulatory bodies become better regulators
- setting and driving up standards for professional regulation
- fostering greater harmonisation of regulatory practice and outcomes
- anticipating and influencing the future.
It does this by carrying out the following functions:
Reviewing fitness to practise cases
Checking how the regulators carry out their functions
Influencing national and international policy on health regulation
